The most common way to pay utility bills in Bulgaria is to wait on long lines and put up with poor customer service during very limited working hours. Credit card payments and on-line payment gateways offer an alternative, but they are yet to pick up any significant popularity here. To alleviate these problems, Cash Terminals give clients the ability to pay their bills easily from many convenient locations, using cash only. Cash Terminals also have the added benefit of being on-line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – so no more waiting on long lines is required.

A115 Ltd. has developed software for the management and operation of a nation-wide network of Cash Terminals in order to facilitate cash payments of utility bills, taxes, insurance, tickets, e-Government services and more.

The system consists of a centralized data center, a network of payment kiosks (Cash Terminals), and a network of connections with the various service providers accepting payments through the cash terminals. Terminal software is responsible for providing an easy-to-use accessible user interface to end-clients. Back-end software makes sure that all transactions go through securely and reliably and provides accounting reports, live data and statistics to the system operators.

As an additional feature, the A115 Cash Terminal software includes a module for managing and delivering targeted advertisements to end-clients. Appropriately equipped kiosks can show full-screen video ads on a second monitor while customers are paying their bills using the primary touch-screen of the terminal.
